Lignosulfonates are used in pesticide production and treaters in the chemical production - as a dispergator and stabilizer in the manufacture of plants care chemical affinity. Also usage of lignosulfonates is widely spread in food and perfume industries. Vanilin, extracting from lignosulfonates and guaiacol is used for giving a specific smell.
